NFF conducts integrity briefing ahead of FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup

The Nigeria Football Federation on Wednesday completed a mandatory integrity briefing for all players and staff selected for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2026, reinforcing the Federation’s zero-tolerance approach to match manipulation and ensuring participants understand how to recognise and reject any attempt at match manipulation-related corruption.

The briefing, conducted by the NFF’s Integrity Unit, educated players and staff on the risks of match manipulation, the methods used by fixers to approach players, and the consequences for individuals and teams involved in anyform of match-manipulation corruption.

The session covered:

. Recognition of match-manipulation approaches

. Prohibition on betting and sharing inside information

. Confidential reporting channels available 24/7

. Consequences of involvement in match-fixing

The briefing is part of FIFA’s comprehensive competition monitoring plan for FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2026, which includes sophisticated betting-monitoring systems, intelligence sharing with law enforcement, and continuous integrity support throughout the competition.
